Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes We will start with an agricultural tour through the olive and almond orchard and vineyards of our 100% organic family farm. I will also tell you about the importance of the historic area of Bijaći, which is the cradle of Croatian history dating to the 7th century. We will walk through the olive and almond orchard, being able to see the olive and almond trees blooming or the fruits ripening, the scent of wild herbs, such as thyme, rosemary, oregano, dill, bay leaves, St. John's Wort, wild asparagus and many wild flowers depending on the season. The tour gives you an insight how we tend to the olive/almond trees and the vineyards throughout the year from early spring to late fall. You will learn about the production practices and cellar techniques, wine and olive oil production - the entire natural cycle from blooming to the final product. In the wine cellar, you will have the opportunity to taste from a choice of home made schnapps and liquors as I will explain how the wine making process works and how schnapps is distilled. You will have the opportunity to fill, cork and label a bottle of our award-winning wine directly from the fermentation tanks. Enjoy beautiful views from Kastela Bay and Split in a serene setting between olive and almond trees. Then we will enjoy local Dalmatian delicacies seated outside under the beautiful pergola next to the olive and almond orchards, immersed in tranquil and beautiful nature. We will have dried prosciutto, aged cheese from the island of Pag, peka bread baked on a wood fire, locally sea-salted fish fillets, our own black olives prepared the traditional way, cheese-filled small bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, tasting of our extra virgin and wild herb infused olive oil, our organic hand-picked dried figs and our hand-picked, dried and sugar-coated almonds paired with our award-winning white and red wine, while I will play and sing traditional Dalmatian songs on my accordion dressed in the traditional Dalmatian folklore dress. True Dalmatian Experience!
