Get back to nature on a day trip to Krka National Park and avoid the crowds in Summer to see parts of the park away from the masses. Go swimming and finish with a local spirit tasting.

Highlights

  • Visit Krka National Park with a local guide
  • Enjoy a local spirit tasting
  • Take a boat ride inside the National Park
  • See several beautiful viewpoints

Description

Depart Split and travel in air-conditioned comfort to Krka National Park. Make use of the on-board Wi-Fi and share photos of the spectacular scenery in real time as you drive towards the impressive waterfalls of the park. Visit three of the nicest locations within Krka National Park starting at Skradinski buk waterfalls, the largest travertine waterfall in Europe, with a stop for a view of the 2,000-year old town of Skradin located within the Krka National Park river canyon. Cross the lake by boat on arrival, and get around 4 hours of free time to relax, go for a swim, or learn more about the natural history of the park from the on-hand guides. Take in stunning views of the Island of Visovac, one of the most photographed islands in Croatia. Go on a stroll through this very relaxed part of the park, noting all the beautiful flora and the fauna of the park in the best way possible. Continue to the Roški waterfalls, Krka is a secret corner of the park which is still relatively undiscovered by commercial tourism. In the Ethno village of the Roski waterfalls, stop for some spirit tasting in an authentic 700 year old watermill. Be shown how the local Rakija is made and its social importance to Croatian life. After the tasting enjoy some free time for lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense). Please note that in the winter months (from November 1–March 31), the park closes early, the boat trip from Skradin is unavailable, and the restaurant is closed. As a result, you'll leave the park at approximately 2 PM and visit the seaside city of Trogir for about 1 hour. Explore this beautiful town and enjoy lunch there prior to returning to Split at approximately 4 PM.
