Krka National Park
Croatia
Gorges, lakes, rivers, rapids and waterfalls merge together to paint the backdrop of the beautiful National Park of Krka. Waterfalls that cascade down for almost 30 meters, an estuary of freshwater that has led to the sprouting of some unique flora, luscious botanical gardens and an ancient monastery secluded on its own island, are just a few of things once can expect to discover while visiting Krka.
From Knin to Sibenik, the Krka River flows for over 47 miles. The park offers visitors daily boat excursions to some of the park highlights such as Visovac Island, Roski Slap, Krka Monastery and Trosenj Fortress.
Educational trails, ethnography presentations, walking guide maps, drinking and dining options and souvenir shops are also present at National Park Krka. Archaeological sites, remains of medieval fortresses and endangered species are abundant in Krka Park.
Organized tours (by water, road or foot), educational presentations and cultural events are often offered for visitors at the Park.
