The Zagreb Zoo is situated in the beautiful Maksimir Park, located close to the city center. The 200 hundred year old park grounds are the ideal setting to spend a fun filled, family afternoon amongst exotic animals and tranquil natural landscapes.
Visitors can expect to see many species of animals from almost every continent – mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fishes and invertebrates.
Additionally, the Zoo participates in many endangered species protection programs, offers its visitors various educational programs, organizes events, and provides useful information about the animals and their natural surroundings.
