Founded in 1957 the Orebic Maritime Museum is a fascinating specialized maritime museum with artifacts ranging from ancient Roman times to modern day. Although there is a focus on maritime subject matter the museum also showcases various artifacts from the daily life of the people of Orebic. Significant pieces include pre-Romanesque church furnishings, medieval Byzantine coins and the remains of the ship building factory which was established in 1857.
The museum welcomes groups or individuals. A guide will gladly take you through the museum of organized ahead of time.
