Krapina Neanderthal Museum

Spanning across 1200 square meters lies one of the most renowned musuems of Croatia and Europe, the Neanderthal Musuem in Krapina.

The abundant fossil collection of the Husnjakovo site in Krapina dates back to the Palaeothilic era where fossil remaisn of animals were found in the layers of the cave. The museum showcases fossil bones, stone tools and geologocial, paleontological and arhaeological collections which were uncovered in research conducted between 1899 and 1905.
