After five wonderful nights at Sun Gardens Dubrovnik, we left feeling genuinely relaxed and already planning a return visit. We booked a Club Room and, while we were a little disappointed that a complimentary loyalty upgrade wasn’t available despite larger Club Rooms still appearing for sale online, that was quickly overshadowed by what proved to be an outstanding stay. The Club Lounge is exceptional and absolutely worth booking. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with an excellent selection of fresh, high-quality food, attentive service and breathtaking views from the outdoor terrace overlooking the Adriatic. The à la carte breakfast menu was superb. If there was one small suggestion, it would be to improve the coffee, which we found a little sour. The biggest highlight of our stay was Viridiana in the Club Lounge. She is an absolute star. Warm, welcoming, genuinely engaging and passionate about looking after guests. Every interaction with her made us smile, and she is exactly the sort of team member that people remember long after they’ve returned home. We’d happily come back just to see her again. The entire lounge team deserves recognition for their outstanding hospitality. The resort itself is beautifully maintained. The gardens are immaculate, the beach is stunning, the ocean pool is fantastic, and every restaurant we visited delivered excellent food accompanied by friendly, professional service. Every member of staff we encountered made us feel genuinely welcome. Our Club Room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed, with beautiful views across the water. The Rituals amenities were a lovely touch. The only practical observation would be that the bath/shower combination requires quite a large step to climb out of, which may be difficult for some guests. For a resort of this size, everything operates remarkably smoothly. The systems simply work, creating a seamless and relaxing experience throughout our stay. The only area where we experienced some friction was the late checkout process. We understood the policy, however not being able to confirm availability until 9.00 am on the day of departure creates unnecessary uncertainty, particularly for guests staying in Club-level accommodation. Although the resort is around 20 minutes from Dubrovnik’s Old Town, don’t let that discourage you. The setting is peaceful, spectacular and well worth the distance. The only thing to budget for is transport. Evening Ubers can become scarce and often switch to taxi pricing, so expect to spend around €60 or more for a return trip into the Old Town for dinner. Overall, Sun Gardens Dubrovnik delivers a genuine luxury resort experience with exceptional facilities, outstanding hospitality and one of the most relaxing settings on the Croatian coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

We stayed at Sun Gardens Dubrovnik for three days and two nights, and the hotel absolutely deserves its five stars. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. We were welcomed at reception by Laura, who is Canadian-Croatian, and she was fantastic. Warm, efficient, genuinely helpful, and one of those people who immediately makes your stay easier. The breakfast buffet was another highlight. It is one of those hotel breakfasts where you wish you had more mornings just to try everything. There is a huge selection, and breakfast quickly became one of our favorite parts of the stay. One unexpected discovery was Aroma Gelato Experience at La Pâtisserie. We went in the evening and loved it. At the time of our visit, it wasn’t clearly shown on Google Maps, so it felt like finding a little hidden treat inside the resort. Our room was exceptionally clean, and the housekeeping staff were lovely. The woman taking care of our room was particularly sweet, which added another personal touch to the experience. The only thing worth mentioning for future guests is transportation. On two separate occasions during our short stay, we saw guests having issues with taxi drivers who would only accept cash. This is obviously separate from the hotel experience, but something useful to know when arranging transportation to or from the resort. Beautiful resort, excellent service, great food, and a level of hospitality that feels worthy of a five-star hotel. We would absolutely come back.

Absolutely wonderful family resort! We had such a lovely stay at Sun Gardens Dubrovnik. It is a perfect family resort, with everything you need in one place. Our children enjoyed the kids club, the pools, and the beautiful beach, and there were also plenty of options for adults to relax and enjoy. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the whole resort was well maintained. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. It was a perfect mix of fun for the children and real relaxation for the adults. We all truly enjoyed our time here and left feeling rested and happy. We would definitely love to come back!

WOW we are so happy we stayed here for our honeymoon. This resort exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to return to Dubrovnik to stay here again! We booked using Chase Edit and with Leaders Club status. From the moment we checked in, we received the highest quality service as you’d expect for a 5 star hotel. We were also upgraded to the Presidential Suite and had the most relaxing and comfortable stay, with perfect turn down & cleaning services. The rooms were modern, clean, with comfortable beds, ample space, and had stunning views of the Elaphiti islands. One of our favorite things about this place was the convenience of their concierge app- we last minute booked a small yacht for the next morning and used the car service to/from Sun Gardens to Dubrovnik Center City many times. The drivers were top class and we felt very safe and comfortable. Breakfast on the Club Terrace was perfection; plenty of healthy and yummy options (my husband raved about their pancakes and I loved their granola bowls and cold pressed juices). Gym was okay (needs more mat space and more options for small hand weights), but the locker rooms nice. This was the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at in terms of service, views, convenience and overall modern comforts.

I had a fabulous three night at Sun Gardens whilst at a conference. The facilities were excellent and the hotel is set in a perfect location overlooking the Adriatic. The food was great, especially breakfast. My room had a great sea view and the layout of the room made it feel very spacious. The Spa was also good, especially the indoor pool.
