CROATIA AIRPORT INFORMATION

Croatia has a total of nine operating airports (Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Pula, Rijeka, Osijek, Brac & Mail Losinj) of these seven are international airports while island airports on Brac and Mali Losinj are used by smaller aircrafts for charter flights.

Croatia's national airline company is Croatia Airlines. They are a member of the Star Alliance airlines association, connecting the country to all major European hub airports such as London, Paris, Rome, Zurich, Vienna, & Frankfurt. Croatia Airlines has greatly contributed to the growth of the tourism industry in Croatia as it has continuously enabled greater access to the country through the increase of flight options and a growing number of airplanes. To date the fleet consists of three Airbus A320-200's, four Airbus A319-100's, and six Bombardier Dash 8-Q400's.

ZAGREB PLESO AIRPORT
Zagreb Airport is the main international airport of Croatia located on the outskirts of Zagreb in Velika Gorica. It is approximately 20 kilometers away from the main city center. Shuttle bus services provided by Croatia Airlines, connect the airport with the main bus station close to the city center in Zagreb. Tickets are 4 Euros, and buses run 30 minutes after every Croatia Airlines flight arrival. Taxis are readily available to transfer passengers to their final destinations. The fare to the city can range from 30 to 50 Euros.

SPLIT AIRPORT
Split Airport is located in Central Dalmatia on the outskirts of Split in Kastela. The airport is 20 kilometers from Split and 6 kilometers away from the popular tourist destination, Trogir. Getting to the city center is fairly convenient via shuttle bus services provided by Croatia Airlines. Check bus timetables. Taxi services are also available, fare prices to the city center range from 20 to 35 Euros. Some hotels provide guests with private shuttle buses.

PULA AIRPORT
Pula airport is located 6 kilometers from the city of Pula, 38 kilometers from Rovinj and 55 kilometers from Porec. The airport acts as the alternative airport for Italy, Austria and Slovenia. Visitors can reach the city of Pula by bus and taxi. Bus tickets to the city center cost approximately 4 Euros and taxi fares range from 15 to 25 Euros.

DUBROVNIK AIRPORT
The Dubrovnik airport is located in the small town of Cilipi, 20 kilometers from the city of Dubrovnik. Transfers to the city are provided by bus and taxi. Some hotels offer guests private shuttle buses as ell. Upon arrival of every scheduled flight, Atlas Bus Company offers shuttle buses to the city for the price of 5 Euros. Taxi services are available during working hours of the airport. Fares to Dubrovnik can range from 20 to 30 Euros. Public buses are also available, one way tickets are 2 Euros however buses do not run as frequently as Atlas buses.

ZADAR AIRPORT
Zadar airport is located in Zemunik Donji which is less than 10 kilometers from the city of Zadar. Travelling to and from the airport via bus, public transportation and taxi service is not complicated. Buses depart from the main gate of international arrivals on a regular basis and a one way bus ticket is 4 Euros. For Croatia Airlines flights, passengers are able to take use of the shuttle bus service which departs half an hour after each arrival. Taxi fares to the city centre range from 20 to 30 Euros.

RIJEKA AIRPORT
Rijeka Airport is located 17 kilometers from the city of Rijeka. The airport provides transportation to the city center via Autotrans buses available for each flight. The journey takes about 30 minutes. A one way ticket is 4 Euros. Tickets can be purchased on the bus. Taxi services are also available at all times. A taxi fare to the city center is approximately 40 Euros.

OSIJEK AIRPORT
Osijek airport is located 20 kilometers from the city center of  Osijek. A shuttle bus service is provided by the airport to and from the city. Shuttle buses to the airport from the main bus station in Osijek depart 2 hours and 30 minutes before international flights and 1 hour and 30 minutes before domestic flights. The shuttle bus service, from the airport departs 20 minutes after every arrival. Taxi services are also readily available.Price of shuttle bus is 4 Euros for a one way ticket.

BRAC AIRPORT
Airport Brac is located in Veško field, 14 kilometers from the famous Adriatic beach Zlatni Rat in Bol, and 30 kilometers from the main city of Supetar. Although it operates year round the charter program is available during the summer months only. Airport Brac is equipped for handling smaller commercial passenger aircrafts with up to 100 seats.

Mali Lošinj Airport is located 5.9 kilometers from the city of Mali Lošinj on the island of Lošinj. Sightseeing tours (panorama tours) from the air and air taxi services are available.
