Description
Embark on a boat trip to the Kornati and Telašćica Nature Parks. Enjoy a perfectly balanced itinerary that allows you to explore the salt lake and cliffs in Telašćica, while still enjoying plenty of swim time in the stunning Kornati coves.
Begin your adventure with a stop at Skrovada Cove on Lavdara Island. Enjoy a peaceful environment for a refreshing swim. The underwater world of this cove teems with marine life, making it a fantastic location for exploring with a mask and snorkel.
Next, head to Telašćica Nature Park. Explore the Mir Salt Lake, a mesmerizing salt lake formed after the last ice age. Abounding in diverse flora and fauna, its high salinity makes it a perfect habitat for sea bass, sea snails, crabs, and shells. This enchanting lake is also a fantastic spot for photography.
Admire the dramatic cliffs on the open-sea side of the island. The magnificent vertical cliffs rise up to 160 meters above sea level and plunge dramatically down to 85 meters below the surface. Beyond their breathtaking look, these cliffs are home to incredible wildlife, including the majestic peregrine falcon and the endangered Eleonora's falcon. Underwater, the cliffs harbor rich coral life, including the endangered red coral.
Keep an eye out for playful dolphins in the open sea. The Adriatic is home to a population of dolphins, and they are frequently spotted swimming near the cliffs during the boat ride or from the land. While wildlife can be unpredictable, these graceful creatures are often seen here, so keep your cameras ready just in case they decide to put on a show.
Stop at the 'Gospoja' Restaurant, a traditional restaurant nestled in a cove within the nature park, perfect for a short break to enjoy a refreshment or a delicious meal.
