Description
Begin at the meeting point in Zadar and board a modern speedboat for your island adventure. The tour starts at Božava village, where you explore Cold War military tunnels. Next, visit Veli Rat village to snorkel above an 18th-century sunken ship, viewing underwater archaeological remains.
Continue to Punta Bjanka to see the Veli Rat Lighthouse, one of the Adriatic’s tallest, built in 1849. Relax at Sakarun Beach, protected for its white sand and shallow turquoise waters. Then head to Brbinjšćica Bay to swim into the Golubinka Sea Cave and Dragon’s Eye, both protected natural areas.
A lunch break is scheduled around 2:30 pm. The local fisherman family-owned restaurant accepts cash only and offers affordable Dalmatian meals. If you prefer not to eat at the restaurant, bring snacks, as the tour lasts approximately eight hours.
Depending on weather, the itinerary may be adjusted to include other natural sights like the Cliffs of Dugi Otok, Telašćica Bay, and Kornati Islands National Park.
