The tour begins on Split’s Riva promenade, a waterfront lined with palm trees and cafés. From there, enter Diocletian’s Palace, built in the 4th century AD and now the core of Split’s UNESCO-listed Old Town.
Explore the palace cellars, the Peristyle courtyard, and the emperor’s former private observatory. Walk through the original Bronze, Silver, Golden, and Iron Gates that once protected the complex.
Visit the Cathedral of St. Domnius, originally Diocletian’s mausoleum and one of the oldest cathedrals worldwide. Optionally climb its bell tower for panoramic views of the city and harbor.
