Description

Welcome to your exclusive guided tour through a town steeped in historical significance with a local, licensed guide. Parking is best done at Karolina car park. There is no time limit at the car park. Our meeting point will be at Forum, the main square, on the left side of the Temple of Augustus. There is a wall where we can sit and begin our journey into ancient Roman times. After an introduction to the city, we embark on a journey through its history. The next stop is the Cathedral church, with its rich backstory, after which we make our way to the main attraction. Tickets to the Arena Amphitheater are not included, but we will learn about this unique landmark, which is well known as one of the more complete monuments of its type. Our journey continues toward the city center, along the Giardini promenade, where we admire the local architecture and head toward all the ancient city entrance gates, each with its own dedicated story and symbolism. We will walk the same steps the ancient Romans did, see how they lived and entertained themselves, and compare it to the present offers and locations. At the end we will visit a local distillery shop and get to know the different tastes of local drinks.
