Description
The tour begins in the village of Paladini, surrounded by nature and home to Karlić Tartufi, a third-generation family of truffle hunters.
Your experience starts with an educational introduction to truffles accompanied by a welcome drink of truffle liquor.
The truffle hunt takes place in a forest and the first black truffle plantation in Croatia, established by the Karlić family over ten years ago. You will then enter an ancient forest where truffle hunting in Istria began. While enjoying fresh air, you will encourage the dogs to search for the prized Istrian truffle.
After the hunt, a three-course tasting awaits in the degustation hall overlooking a forest more than 150 years old, where truffle hunting continues today.
The menu features:
- Canapés, two types of cheese, sausages, honey, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar all infused with truffles
- Main course of scrambled eggs with freshly shaved truffles prepared before you; guests may participate in cooking or observe
- Dessert of a small donut filled with truffella, a truffle-flavored spread similar to Nutella
Unlimited red and white homemade wines made by grandma Danica, the Karlić family founder, are included. All ingredients are local, fresh, and organic.
