Description

Meet your guide at the Eastern (PLOČE) Gate to the Old Town. Get an introduction to Dubrovnik's history and its key spots before strolling down to the Old Port. Board the boat to Lokrum at 9:00 AM or alternatively afternoon hours>thanks to the island's natural stays, most of the walk stays pleasant even in the afternoon hours. NOTE that your ticket enables you to stay on Lokrum and explore more of it after the tour is over. The ticket for the tour includes the round-trip boat ticket to Lokrum (adults:€30, children from 5-18:€5, under 5: free. Take a leisurely 40-minute hike to the island's fort. Learn about who lived on Lokrum through the centuries, why they left, what brought a young Austro-Hungarian archduke here, and how his story ended. Discover how peacocks were brought to the island. As you hike down, go through the olive grove and 19th-century garden. Get insight into the island's ancient history near the ruins of the 11th-century monastery. See the location where Lokrum featured as the mystical city of Qarth in the Game of Thrones series. See the karst rock formation typical of the Adriatic coast and the locals' favourite spot, 'Dead Sea.'

There are no grocery shops on Lokrum. Bring a small backpack, water bottle, snack, hat and sun lotion, bathing suit (optional). There is a tiny souvenir shop and two bars where you can have coffee and salad/sandwich (in one).
