Description

Depart Zagreb in the morning and travel to Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana. Take a guided walk through the old city center, admiring Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture, including works by architect Jože Plečnik. Learn about local history such as Napoleon’s influence and the origins of the Triple Bridge. You will also have free time to explore Ljubljana’s lesser-known sites independently.

Next, continue to the Alpine resort town of Bled. Enjoy a panoramic drive around the lake before boarding a traditional Pletna boat to reach Slovenia’s only island. Ring the fortune bell and experience the mountain air. Then visit Bled Castle, the oldest castle in Slovenia, perched on a cliff above the lake. Sample the region’s traditional Bled cream cake while taking in the view from the castle terrace.

Return to Zagreb in the evening, with drop-off at your original departure point.
