Description
Depart Split by air-conditioned bus and journey to Plitvice Lakes National Park, home to 16 terraced lakes connected by waterfalls and walking paths. Your guide will provide insight into the park’s geology and ecology during the scenic walk.
Explore the Upper Lakes (Gornja Jezera), crossing wooden bridges and paths over cascades. Observe the changing colors of the water caused by mineral composition, microorganisms, and sunlight angles.
Next, take a boat ride across the Lower Lakes (Donja Jezera), surrounded by natural limestone dams. Admire views of the Great Waterfall (Veliki Slap) and nearby forest before returning to Split.
