What a way to kick off a trip to Split! I was exhausted. Americans coming from London. But the views drew me in. And the rest did not disappoint. Jose was amazing. he told us he was new and that we had to be patient with his English. Pul-leez, Jose! You were amazing and made our entire night. Jose and team made the night perfect. We did the Echo wine pairing. It was beautiful. You must like white wine. I am more of a red person, but the white complimented a lot of the dishes. Jose did tell us at the beginning, if we want something else, just let him know. I did not, but I am sure that they would change it to whatever you would like. With all of the amazing restaurants to choose from, I am really glad that we chose this for our first dinner. It set the entire tone for the rest of what we can expect from this beautiful city. Still dreaming about that Lobster dish!

Amazing vegetarian tasting menu. Every course had a presentation and taste. Chef also took care of my spice intolerance and accommodated with attention. Truly a great evening over 7 courses and ambience was perfect.

Atmosphere was better than expected, location was perfect, a terrace above the busy “riva.” Though it is pricey, this was expected for. Michelin Star restaurant. The 7 course meal was an adventure in taste and visual presentation. Highly recommended!

We had a truly lovely evening at Zoi, celebrating our wedding anniversary, enjoying the 7 course taster menu and wine pairing. The service from Florenzia was exemplary, as well as the other staff who helped make it a night to remember. The ambience and surroundings were perfect, with a unique view over the sea. The food presentation, flavour, textures, balance and quality were second to none. The wine pairing was well put together and complemented the food perfectly.

We found this smart place in the Michelin Guide and made a booking for their 3-course a la carte on the terrace. The restaurant is wonderfully situated: built into the sea-facing wall of Diocletian's Palace. There is an inside room and then a long, outdoor terrace. We chose the terrace and arrived at 19:00. The sun was still very intense and there is absolutely no shade on the terrace so it was a little uncomfortable until the sun went down. But when it did, it was a marvellous place to sit. From the choices on the a la carte, we chose the following, and added a pudding course: - Crudo: seawater cured meagre, jalapeño, fermented black garlic - Blue lobster agnolotti, sauce coraline, Bloody Mary emulsion - Seabass: ikejime seabass, plankton risotto, Dalmatian coastal herbs, prosecco pil-pil, fermented fennel - Honey & Yuzu: iced rosemary, honey toffee, yuzu The dishes were beautifully prepared and presented. The blue lobster was really delicious as was the seabass - and I loved the texture (maybe the ikejime really makes a difference). Nice, friendly service. I think Split is going to be an expensive visit and I did think, even though we are lucky enough to eat at many fine dining restaurants, that the price was high here. But I think, as we stay here for a few days, this is going to be the norm. We had a great meal, in a great location. (Also posted to my food blog on Instagram @AbbeyKing16)
