Our last meal in Zagreb and this was perfect. We started with the fish dip (forgot to take a photo) which was an absolute winner. We also had the arugula salad, so simple but tasty. My husband and I shared the seafood platter, which was divine. The potatoes were a surprising delight. Our daughter had the black ravioli with shrimp, which was a bit salty for her liking but delicious nonetheless. The waiter was on his own for a while and serving 10 tables himself. He did a wonderful job. The artwork on the walls is also impressive. Highly recommend this establishment.
We visited this restaurant while craving fresh seafood, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Right next door is a much fancier seafood restaurant, and at first we were a little hesitant about the prices in the area. Thankfully, this place had been recommended to us by a local, and we're so glad we listened. The menu is enormous, with an impressive variety of seafood dishes. Whether you're in the mood for grilled fish, fried seafood, pasta, or appetizers, there's something for everyone. We started with the shrimp and zucchini bruschetta, served cold, and it was absolutely delicious. It was fresh, light, and surprisingly filling, making it the perfect appetizer on a warm day. For our main course, we ordered the Fritto Misto seafood platter for two. It came with fried squid, smelt fish (our first time trying it!), cod, and a generous portion of roasted potatoes. The smelt tasted very similar to fried sardines, with a delicate flavor and crispy texture that we really enjoyed. The cod was definitely the star of the platter. It was perfectly cooked, flaky, and paired beautifully with both the tartar sauce and the sweet chili sauce that came alongside it. Although the menu says the platter is for two, we honestly think it could easily feed three people if you're sharing an appetizer as well. The portions are incredibly generous and offer excellent value for money. The service was just as memorable as the food. Everyone was genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for fresh seafood without paying fine dining prices, this is an easy recommendation. Fantastic food, generous portions, friendly service, and great value. We'd happily return.
Incredible restaurant. Service staff is very charming and speaks english excellently (big plus for foreigners or tourists!), anything you order is delivered very quickly and efficiently. The food itself is flawless; good prices for a level of quality and taste you'll struggle to find elsewhere. The tuna steak, seafood risotto, black fettucine with seafood, and plijukanci with monkfish and cherry tomatoes our group had were all absolutely delicious!
This place is located in the center of the town. Some friends recommended it and we really enjoyed. Nice food and nice service. We wanted to try the typical black rice and cuttlefish and squid goulash and this was the best we could find in our holidays.
