We came here on our third day in Zagreb, craving a nice Japanese dinner after several disappointing meals elsewhere in the city. For starters, we ordered the gyoza alongside a couple of tuna nigiri. For mains, my husband ordered the udon noodles, and I had the rice with crispy pork. We were nearly the only customers in the restaurant (I think there was only one other couple in the back), yet it took over 30 minutes for the gyoza and nigiri to arrive. The gyoza was pretty good, but the nigiri was disappointing—the rice was hard, and the fish didn't taste fresh or tender at all (it wasn't even cold). After waiting another 40 minutes, our mains finally arrived. To our surprise and disappointment, my husband’s "udon" noodles were actually ramen noodles (see photo). When we questioned the waiter, he was confused and insisted, "That's just what udon noodles are here." It felt incredibly bizarre—you don’t open an Italian restaurant and redefine what a pizza is, do you? After I showed him a Google search of what udon noodles actually look like, he politely apologized. The waiter did later offer us a gesture of goodwill, mostly to compensate for the long wait. I am giving this place two stars solely for his service. In my opinion, the chef seriously needs further training.
My experience here was great !! The ramen was beautiful. Amazing flavours, the egg was perfectly runny , the chicken was seasoned beautifully and the dish overall was just very comforting and homey :) The girl serving was very nice and professional. Will be back !!
My friend and I visited the restaurant yesterday and were dissatisfied with the food. First, we waited over half an hour for our order, and when the sushi arrived, we doubted it was what we’d ordered. The salmon that was supposed to be on top of the roll was only half a millimeter thick and of course we couldn’t even taste it, and to charge 17eur for that is so much overpriced. P.s. I update my review with the photo of same rolls in a menu for clarity, as Asuka replies that it’s my perception which is differ.
We came for dinner and we were not dissapointed. The taste of food was superb, we eat japanesee food a lot and this was in our opinion in the top :) would recommend it.. we even had the place for ourselves :) maybe just a tip (maybe change desserts to matcha cheesecake and matcha tiramisu :) )
I love this place. The deck and the ambience are nice. They always sicqa play Japanese music. The food are good and the price is pretty reasonable.
