Description

Leave the bustle of Zagreb behind and journey into the heart of Croatia’s natural beauty. This full-day guided tour blends the charm of a historic riverside village with the breathtaking landscapes of the country’s most iconic national park. Begin your adventure with a visit to the village of Rastoke, often called “Little Plitvice.” Located at the confluence of the Slunjčica and Korana rivers, Rastoke is a peaceful haven of wooden bridges and small cascading waterfalls. Stroll through this picture-perfect setting, admire the traditional rural architecture, and soak in the atmosphere of a place where nature and heritage coexist in harmony. Next, head to the stunning Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Croatia’s oldest national park. Renowned for its 16 crystal-clear lakes connected by a series of dramatic waterfalls and wooden pathways, the park offers an unforgettable experience for nature lovers. With your entry ticket included, skip the line to enter the park, and follow your licensed English-speaking guide through scenic forest trails and across wooden boardwalks. Along the way, discover the unique karst landscape, where water has shaped the terrain into travertine terraces over thousands of years. Learn about the flora and fauna that thrive in this pristine environment and hear fascinating stories that bring the park to life. Enjoy a peaceful 20-minute electric boat ride across Lake Kozjak (depending on season), the park’s largest lake. Let the beauty of turquoise waters and lush forest surroundings fully immerse you in nature. Your guide will be with you throughout the day, sharing insights, answering questions and ensuring you don’t miss the best viewpoints and hidden corners of this natural paradise. This carefully designed experience is perfect for travelers who want to connect with nature, discover Croatia’s UNESCO-protected beauty, and enjoy a seamless and enriching day outside the city.

Important Information

  • From November 1 to March 31, the boat and train/bus rides inside the park may not operate due to winter conditions. During this period, only the Lower Lakes are typically accessible, and the route may be adjusted accordingly. During the off-season, tours are shorter and can last less than 10 hours. This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, approx. 8–9 km, covering both the Lower and Upper Lakes. The exact route and access to specific areas of the park depend on weather and park operations. Some trails or viewpoints may be closed in case of heavy rain, ice, or maintenance, and the boat and train/bus inside the park may not be operating. Not recommended for children under 3 years. We do not recommend strollers inside the national park. Not suitable for travelers with serious health conditions. Due to uneven and sometimes steep surfaces, not recommended for guests with walking difficulties. Not wheelchair accessible.
