Discover Dalmatia’s heritage on a full-day guided tour from Split. Travel by open-top sightseeing bus with audio commentary available in 10 languages and an English-speaking guide who accompanies you at each stop. The first destination is the UNESCO-listed town of Trogir, a well-preserved medieval town known for its Romanesque and Gothic architecture. Stroll along its narrow streets, explore the old squares, and see the waterfront promenade. Free time is provided to explore at your own pace. Continue to Salona, once the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia. Explore the ruins of this ancient city, including the amphitheater, basilicas, city walls, and early Christian burial sites. Next, visit the Olive Museum, where you can learn about traditional olive oil production and other local crafts. Discover how olive oil has shaped Dalmatian culture and, if you wish, taste authentic products that are available on site. The tour then takes you to Klis Fortress, a medieval stronghold located on a hilltop above Split. Explore its towers and walls, learn about its role in defending the region, and enjoy panoramic views of Split and the Adriatic Sea. The fortress is also known as a filming location for the series Game of Thrones. Finally, return to Split for a guided walking tour of the Old Town, including Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important Roman monuments in the world.
