Description

Explore the upper part of the Kupa River, perfect white-water rafting/kayaking experience in spring and autumn time. The water level reacts to every rain at that time so you can expect higher water level after rainfall on the Gorski Kotar (Croatian highlands) during spring and autumn time. During the summer time trip will be mostly in the inflatable kayaks 2-3 seats but river section stay the same (upper part of river Kupa). We will pass a section of about 7-10 km, which is only 15 km downstream from the source. We use rafts for 4-7 persons with a guide in each and, in case of low water level, mini rafts or kayaks for 2-3 persons. You will get all instruction and training on the starting position and the whole trip is controlled by professional guides. You will pass several rapids of 15-300 m length. Some of them are intense but all are safe to pass for beginners. The landscape around the river is gorgeous, as is the water purity and colour. We choose the best spot to have a break with cliff jumping and swimming in the rapid. A photographer will follow us and take pictures on the most interesting rapids, which you can receive via E-mail later. After getting to the finish, you can change into dry clothes and we will drive you back to our meeting point at our base camp.

Important Information

• This tour will take place rain or shine. Sometimes we need to cross border with Slovenia so passport or international ID is necessary to bring for all participants. Participants are welcome to bring their own water shoes/sneakers which can be wet.
