Kayaking down the coastline of Opatija, swimming in underwater caves and across beautiful coves. If you’re asking us, this sounds like a perfect summer day. But let’s start from the beginning. After meeting up and going through a short briefing with our guide on Slatina beach, we’ll be off on our kayaks to the “Devil’s rock”. On your way, you will be listening to fascinating stories about Opatija’s history and present as we move along the coast. Upon arriving to the “Devil’s rock”, better known as “Grotta del Diavolo”, we begin the tour of the cave’s entrances. Those who are brave enough can try jumping off a cliff, while some may want to explore the cave by going in and listening to an interesting story about the secrets that a nearby Villa hides. But, we will let our guides tell you the rest. “Grotta del Diavolo” has a surprise for you – underneath it, there is a small underwater cave which can be reached only by diving under the sea level. Those who go in are going to experience a unique feeling of being one with the sea. Swimming in the cave cannot be described by words; an opening through which the sun shines a light on you, as well as the unique formation of this cave are only a part of this incredible experience. We are sure you will not be disappointed. Those in search of an andrenaline rush can jump off cliffs, both small and big. Others can use the time for swimming, snorkelling or sunbathing. On our way back to Opatija, you will hear more about its rich history. This adventure is perfect for families with children, groups of friends and partners. You don’t have to have any prior experience, but you need to know how to swim. The trip is not a hard activity and it is easily and quickly mastered.
