This full-day boat trip starts at 10:00 AM from Opatija or Lovran, offering a relaxed way to explore some of the best swimming spots along the Kvarner coast and the northern part of Cres Island. The first stop is Brseč Beach on the mainland - a striking pebble beach set beneath high cliffs, famous for its clear waters and natural surroundings. CNN ranked it as the second most beautiful Croatian pebble beach in 2018. Guests can spend about an hour swimming, relaxing, or simply soaking up the peaceful atmosphere before continuing across Kvarner Bay toward Cres Island. On Cres, the boat follows the northern coast, renowned for its unspoiled beauty and hidden bays. The first stop is Smrdeća Beach, known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and tranquil setting; perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or just enjoying the scenery. Guests can also take photos wearing mermaid tails, adding a playful touch to their day. The next stop is Badnjev Beach, a quiet bay ideal for more time in the water, relaxing on board, or admiring the surroundings. The final swimming stop is Bay Banja, a sheltered cove offering one last refreshing swim and a chance to bask in the sun before the boat heads back to the mainland. Mermaid tail photos can be enjoyed at each of these northern Cres beaches. The tour lasts approximately seven hours, with a return to Opatija around 5:00 PM. • In the event of unfavorable weather, we reserve the right to cancel the tour with a full refund. If conditions allow the tour but adjustments are needed (e.g., itinerary changes due to wind or rain on part of the island), we will inform guests in advance when possible. Any changes during the tour are communicated by the captain and usually agreed with guests on the spot. Some beaches along the tour can only be reached by swimming, but guests don’t have to go all the way to the shore. The boat stays anchored in the bay, allowing you to relax and swim nearby. A ladder on the boat provides easy access in and out of the water. This tour is primarily focused on swimming rather than sightseeing. If you do not plan to swim, please note that the sun and heat can be quite tiring. For non-swimmers, life jackets are available upon request. We highly recommend cooling off in the water during the trip.
