Discover the area around Dubrovnik in the heart of Croatia, including the beautiful old city of Korčula and admire the peninsula of Pelješac. Ride along the coastal streets to the Pelješac peninsular and get an incredible look at the area around Dubrovnik. Once there, see the little town of Ston with its monumental ramparts, built between the 14th and 15th centuries, which are over 5 km long and 5-10 meters high. It then takes approximately 45 minutes to cross Pelješac, past countless vineyards and vegetation characteristic of the region, to the coastal town of Orebić. From there, travel by boat to the island of Korčula, directly before the gates of the old city with the same name. Korčula is the island with the most diverse plant life in Dalmatia and is the so-called ecological Eden of the Mediterranean. The old city is one of the best-preserved places from the Middle Ages as well as a traditional tourist destination of the Croatian islands. Learn more about the tradition of the medieval knights' festival and the Moreška, an incredibly dynamic dance with swords that has been done for centuries. On the return trip, take the opportunity to taste wines in the cellar of a family vineyard on Pelješac. Enjoy some of the best local wine in Croatia.
