The fish soup was tasty, as was the carpaccio and pasta with spinach and pecorino. The tuna tartar was fine, but the wasabi from a tube was uninspired. Lobster with tagliatelle was well executed and tasty. The sea bass roll was well prepared and full of flavour. The 'first class' meat and roast potatoes for two person was ok as a dish. The potatoes were chewy, not crunchy and the meat had fatty parts that could have been cut. The bread was tough as always in Croatia, almost inedible. For the money I would expect crunchy, fresh bread, nice textured roast potatoes and an amuse bouche that's more than a bit of tuna mousse that tastes like it came from a can. The upscale prices and decorations try to sell it as a high class restaurant, but the food is not at that level unfortunately. The upscale vibe also draws in Americans with more money than taste and their loudness can ruin an evening. (Not the restaurants fault 🙂) Service was fine and the staff spoke English. The toilet is worth a visit. (see video) All in all some well executed dishes, but the prices demand a higher level of execution of the basics (bread, potatoes, amuse bouche, etc.)

Kornat is one of those restaurants that reminds you why dining out should be an experience, not just a meal. From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of fresh, high-quality ingredients. Especially enjoyed the tuna tartar and black cuttlefish risotto. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet relaxed, making it perfect for both special occasions and a memorable dinner by the sea. The staff was knowledgeable, happy to offer recommendations, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. If you’re looking for one of the best dining experiences in Zadar, Kornat is absolutely worth a visit. Thank you for such a memorable night. We can’t wait to come back!

In my opinion, a must if youre around Zadar. Exceptionally friendly and professional service, great atmosphere and magnificent food. We had mussels, black cuttlefish rissoto, lamb kotsi, gnocci with monkfish medallions, tuna steak and sea bream roll and everything was exquisite. The art deco and music a very nice touch. Loved the bathrooms!

We took the Hyatt's recommendation. The food was delicious, and we especially loved their painted dinner plates. The ceiling was also beautiful. I'd like to especially mention how incredibly friendly the people were. My wife found her iPhone was missing after leaving the restaurant. We assumed it was still there. Later, a Croatian woman found it on the sidewalk, but we didn't know where she was. The Kornat hostess lady kindly took us to retrieve it. We were so grateful, to her and the woman who found our phone.
