Restaurant Posat was one of the best meals we had in Dubrovnik. The service was absolutely A+—friendly, attentive, and professional without ever feeling overbearing. The location is hard to beat, and we had an incredible view from our table overlooking the city walls. Inside, they have a beautiful live fish tank that adds to the classic fine-dining atmosphere. We started with the lobster and the tuna tartare, and both were outstanding. The tuna tartare was especially memorable—creative, fresh, and unlike any version I’ve had before. For our entrées, I ordered the lamb while my wife had the shrimp spaghetti. Both dishes were excellent, although the shrimp spaghetti was probably the standout of the night. The menu is the perfect size—not so large that it’s overwhelming, but with enough variety that I honestly don’t think you could make a bad choice. To finish, the dessert selection was surprisingly strong and made it difficult to choose. If you’re looking for a special dinner in Dubrovnik with exceptional food, outstanding service, and an unbeatable setting, Restaurant Posat absolutely delivers. Highly recommended.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Truly Memorable Dining Experience in Dubrovnik What an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived at Posat Restaurant, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and impeccable service. The setting is simply beautiful, overlooking the historic streets of Dubrovnik, creating the perfect atmosphere for a leisurely lunch. As a chef, I always appreciate restaurants that let quality ingredients shine, and Posat certainly delivers. We were invited to choose from the day’s fresh seafood selection before our meal was prepared, which immediately gave us confidence in the freshness and quality of every dish. The beef carpaccio was beautifully presented and melted in the mouth, paired perfectly with creamy local cheese and delicate garnishes. The seafood dishes were elegant, fresh and full of flavour, while the crumbed calamari was perfectly crisp on the outside and wonderfully tender inside. Every plate was thoughtfully presented, allowing the natural beauty of Croatia’s incredible produce to take centre stage. The service throughout was attentive, professional and genuinely friendly, making us feel welcome from beginning to end. If you’re visiting Dubrovnik and appreciate exceptional food, fresh seafood and outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend Posat Restaurant. It was one of the culinary highlights of our European adventure, and I would happily return. Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience. Nenad was our server and did a phenomenal job. He and his colleagues were very accommodating, patient, and, showed great sense of humor. For starters, we ordered the fish soup, pumpkin soup, and creamy crab soup. All of them were delicious! The fish was the favorite! For main course, we ordered the grilled Tuna in sesame with, Duck breast, filet of white fish. The chef gives free bread olive oil and snack (which was deliciously exquisite!!!!) I had tuna tartar and the rest white fish mouse. We ended with some delicious desert wines (Teranino) that I highly recommend!! Ambiance was great as well. We came on a Monday and had a piano night with a live pianist. If I could give 7 stars on food and service I would! If you can afford it is worth the premium price.
The atmosphere is nice and service is fine BUT the food price and quality is out of whack. Main courses we had were a 49 Euro 3 pieces of tuna about ~3cm in diameter with risotto ,and I had the 49 Euro bowl of fish stew. The tuna was very good but the stew was only nice. Starters were very expensive so we took a pass. The bread was underwhelming at best. The live music/piano was nice. We both had a spritzer, I had one glass of local white wine (very small serving), wife had one glass prosecco, and a shared dessert - all totaled it was 185 Euro. On the menu was daily fresh fresh at 124 Euro a kilo!!! We wanted fresh fish but that price is ridiculous. So, we won’t go back but if you want decent service, nice view of the fortress, nice live piano music, and don’t care about the price of the food then this is okay. Restroom was very nice and clean.
High-end restaurant with outstanding views. Wonderfully located, adjacent to the old city in Dubrovnik. From the bread and olive oil to the cream crab soup to the lobster pasta to the fig dessert, nothing disappointed. Keep in mind when you combine a wonderful location with expertly grafted cuisine, you will have to pay.
