Excellent from start to finish. Clean and efficient, you even get chocolate delivered to your door every night. Whoever is in charge of operations here needs a pay rise. The only tip I would say is don’t get a taxi through reception, it’s nearly doubled a uber. We would recommend to anyone.
Good 4*hotel at a great location in Lapad. We had higher expectations so moved to another 5*hotel. The hotel management was engaging and understood our situation. We were able to book a 5* hotel at the same room rate than hotel Kompas, so there value for money is an attention point when booking.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kompas. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Everything feels brand new, with modern, luxurious interiors and excellent facilities. The reception area and lobby bar have breathtaking views over the bay, making them the perfect place to relax with a drink. The breakfast was superb, with a wide variety of high-quality options and something for everyone. It was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The swimming pool is not very large, but it is well maintained and was never overcrowded. The hotel also has access to the beach. It is a short walk to the section reserved for hotel guests, where complimentary towel service is provided. There is also a beach café where you can buy food and drinks. The only small disappointment is that the beach area is much more basic and does not feel as modern or luxurious as the rest of the hotel. Parking is very convenient, with both on-site parking and complimentary valet service, making arrival and departure completely hassle-free. While the rest of the staff were warm, friendly, and always smiling, some of the reception staff came across as rather unfriendly and seemed quite grumpy, which was a noticeable contrast to the excellent service we received from everyone else. Overall, Hotel Kompas is a beautiful, modern, and luxurious hotel in a fantastic location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. (15-20 mins uber drive from the old city)
We have just returned from a wonderful 10-day holiday at Hotel Kompas, and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is fantastic. Every member of the team was attentive, friendly, helpful and professional, with a special mention to Ivan, who made our stay even more enjoyable with his exceptional service. We stayed in a Deluxe Sea View room, which was spacious and offered absolutely breathtaking views across Lapad Bay. Waking up to that view each morning was a real highlight of our trip. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious options to suit every taste. While we found the à la carte menu a little limited, everything we ordered was of a very high quality. The pool area was lovely—clean, relaxing and never felt overcrowded. The hotel's location is perfect, right on the promenade and within easy walking distance of numerous excellent restaurants. Be sure to visit the Cave Bar More, which is an absolute must. Overall, we had an amazing stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel Kompas to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. We look forward to returning in the future.
We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Kompas and would especially like to highlight the outstanding customer service. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff genuinely care about their guests and place a very high value on customer satisfaction. Everyone was friendly, professional, and highly solution-oriented. When we checked in, we were assigned a room that was designed for guests with disabilities. As we would have preferred a standard room, we asked whether it would be possible to change rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked and no other room was available. Instead of simply telling us that nothing could be done, the manager went above and beyond to find a solution. He offered us the opportunity to move to their second hotel, which we gladly accepted. This level of flexibility and commitment to guest satisfaction was truly impressive and greatly appreciated. Both the hotel and the room were exceptionally clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The view was absolutely beautiful and made our stay even more enjoyable. We would like to thank the entire team for their dedication, professionalism, and willingness to help. Experiences like this show what excellent hospitality is all about. We would happily recommend Hotel Kompas and would not hesitate to stay with them again in the future.
