Way too expensive for the little food you get. We ordered the 4 course menu and besides the main coarse, all was a big disappointment and the biggest within Istrie so far. Besides being very small portions, 3 portions from our menu did not require much preparation right before serving which seems intentinal (imho) and as a result didn't result in a wow feeling although for the price and setting you would expect it to be. Also a lot of bread / toast / crunchy coating was used, which are quite cheap whereby the more expensive ingredients were rather limited. Anyways a one time visit only.
This was my second time dining at Spinnaker, and once again, it was an unforgettable experience. The level of hospitality and service is simply outstanding. Every member of the team is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. Each dish of the tasting menu is presented with such care, explaining not only the ingredients but also the story behind every product. You can truly feel the love and dedication that goes into every detail. The tasting menu was exceptional. The seafood was incredibly fresh, the pasta was outstanding, the razor clams were absolutely delicious, and even the bread with homemade butter was among the best I’ve ever had. The experience was perfectly complemented by the cocktail pairing and an excellent wine selection. Every recommendation was spot on, and each drink elevated the flavors of the food beautifully. From the sommelier to the servers, everyone contributed to creating a truly memorable evening. Their professionalism, warmth, and genuine passion made us feel very special throughout the entire experience. I would also like to thank Valamar for inviting me to discover this incredible restaurant. I left with a big smile and wonderful memories. If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience in Croatia, Spinnaker is a place you simply shouldn’t miss.
new faces have brought a new story to the old Spinaker restaurant. the menu is focused on fish dishes, each carrying a signature twist from chef Marko, who is crazy enough to reinvent burek and somehow turned it into one of the highlights of the menu. loved the place, food and people!
