Our waiter Ivan was a great host and treated us like royalty. I had the white fish filets with asparagus and potatoes with white wine sauce, with extra sauce on Ivans suggestion, and my wife hade the tenderloin with truffle mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts with red wine sauce. Everything tasted excellent including the wines of choice. We will be back and visit this restaurant time and time again, because if these were so good, we need to try everything else on the menu. 👌 Take your time and find this gem, you won't be disappointed.
We had a wonderful dinner at Fish Mama. The atmosphere is cozy, stylish, and has such a beautiful vibe. The food was absolutely outstanding — every dish was incredibly delicious, and the seafood was exceptionally fresh and perfectly prepared. We also enjoyed an excellent local wine that paired beautifully with our meal. If you’re visiting Split and love seafood, Fish Mama is a must-visit. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back! ❤️❤️
We found this restaurant while searching for *octopus peka*, which is surprisingly hard to find, and we absolutely loved ittt. Definitely recommend it and I would 100% come back. The octopus peka was exquisite, honestly one of the best dishes we tried on our trip. The place itself is also beautiful, very central, cozy, and with a great atmosphere. The burrata salad was amazing too — everything was 10/10. And special mention to the bread, because it was honestly the best bread I’ve ever had.
it is a very amazing restaurant with local flavors. If you like sea food and beef you cannot miss it! And the staff are super nice with good English speaking. The view around is also very great!
Fish Mama in Split was an absolute standout dining experience. The food was nothing short of fantastic—especially the octopus à la Peka, which was perfectly tender and rich with flavor, and the tuna steak, cooked beautifully and incredibly fresh. The atmosphere struck a rare balance: the music was present but subtle, creating just the right backdrop for a relaxed and enjoyable conversation. It’s clear that thought went into every detail, from the playlist to the pacing of the evening. The view added another layer of charm, making the whole experience feel special without being over the top. We visited toward the end of April, and it got a bit chilly around 8–9 PM, but the caring staff immediately stepped in with warmers and blankets, making sure we stayed comfortable and could fully enjoy the evening. What truly elevated the experience was the service. The waitstaff were attentive and genuinely accommodating, anticipating every need without ever being intrusive. A special mention goes to Andrea, who went out of her way to make sure we were happy—pairing the wine with the food exceptionally well, which speaks volumes about her skill and knowledge. She even took a fabulous photo of us that looked like it was done by a professional photographer. Overall, Fish Mama delivers on all fronts—exceptional food, a beautiful setting, and thoughtful, attentive service that enhances the entire experience.
