We visited this restaurant with the family. The place itself is nice, but overall it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The portions are rather small, and I don’t think it offers good value for money. The seafood platter was not as per expectation. The sea bream was the best dish we ordered, it was fresh, flavorful, and nicely cooked, but the rest of the meal was fairly average.
Excellent restaurant! We ordered the tuna dish and the squid dish, and both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and you could really tell the ingredients were fresh and high quality. Everything was very well prepared and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable throughout the meal. Overall, I think it offers great value for the quality, and it’s definitely worth the price. I would gladly come back and highly recommend it.

Our hotel recommended The Temple, and my wife Cindi reached out to book it. "What a recommendation" is a massive understatement. 🎂 Beyond "Next Level" Hospitality After an absolutely amazing—and I mean AMAZING, WOW-type—meal, the team completely blindsided me with the ultimate birthday surprise. With a packed patio, the entire staff marched out onto the public street holding a birthday cake with a sparkling candle. But it didn't end there. A few minutes later, the host brought out another cake for Cindi. Still not done! Our server then asked if we wanted a traditional shot of a local liqueur to celebrate our 30-year wedding anniversary. Enter Rakija. Let me tell you, this stuff could solve the global oil crisis because it would 100% run your car! 🚗💨 👥 The Rock Star Team Jelena (Our Host): Simply amazing and incredibly personable. Not just with us, but with every single person she interacted with, effortlessly rushing over to their information booth to explain the menu and the restaurant's story. Mirko (Our Waiter): Mirko, if I were still working in the corporate hospitality world, I would hire you in a heartbeat. We deeply appreciated your professionalism, your time, and your passion for explaining Croatian food and culture. What truly touched us was how you spoke of your grandmother. The connection to her and her original, homemade Croatian cooking is beautiful, and it's clear where your love for food comes from. 🍽️ The Verdict on the Food Simply the best food we have had so far in Croatia. Now, I’m sure we could wander way off the beaten path, find Mirko’s Baka (Grandmother), and she would set the ultimate gold standard. But for dining in the city and the main tourist areas? Without a doubt, the best dining experience we had in Split! From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of. The atmosphere was beautiful, warm, and elegant, creating the perfect setting for an unforgettable meal. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was prepared to perfection, full of flavor, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality ingredients. It’s rare to find a place where every single course exceeds expectations, but this restaurant truly delivered. What made the experience even more special was the exceptional staff—friendly, attentive, professional, and always smiling. Their hospitality made us feel like valued guests throughout the entire evening. This was much more than just a meal; it was one of the highlights of our time in Split. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the city or looking for an amazing dining experience. Split surprises me everytime! This restaurant serves great seafood! We ordered prawn and scampi risotto and sea bream. It was delicious. Specially, being a risotto and prawn fan, I can endorse this was one of the best I tasted so far, even better than in many Italian seaside towns. Mirko, our host, was very sweet and gave us good suggestions. Very much recommended if in Split!
