Lovely little venue with friendly staff & lovely food. There was a queue to get in but it was dealt with very quickly & we managed to get a table for 4 inside. The food was really nice & we joined in singing happy birthday to one of the other diners, the atmosphere being jovial & happy. I would definitely go again.
The best authentic Lasanga that I have ever had. It was flavorful and tasty. Unfortunately the service was terrible, we asked for starter which is bread with olive oil but they brought after serving the lasanga, which we asked to remove. We also asked for the olive oil and he forgot to bring, i think it’s time for the waiter to call it a night and go home and rest. He was very respectful and nice but couldn’t make a good service, he said sorry this type of bread takes forever to make so we serve the starter at the end of the meal😅
Unexpectedly delicious pasta at reasonable prices! I kind of figured everything in the middle of the old town would be crowded, overpriced, and not very good but Ciao absolutely was the opposite. The host was so sweet and friendly, she found us a small table inside, and we had the best pesto pasta and lasagna ever! The food was so tast and the prices were very reasonable, despite being in the heart of touristy old town.
Had a really brilliant meal here last night for our final night in Dubrovnik. There’s a lot of good food in town, but it’s also easy to fall into tourist traps - this genuinely isn’t one of them. We arrived and it was very busy/full so we waited in a queue - this is to be expected across town every night in summer/peak season. The lady in charge was very accommodating, communicative and grateful to us for waiting. We got sat inside where it’s air conditioned, and the service for the rest of the evening was consistent and very friendly. We all had the Parmigiana to start as we’re big fans of the dish and love making it at home or having it when in Italy. I enjoyed it so much I forgot to take a picture! But it was very, very good; the aubergine was thinly sliced and perfectly cooked (this is often where places fall short), and the tomato sauce was well seasoned and very flavourful. This was solidly up there with the Parmigianas we’ve tried back in London and around Italy on our travels. My mum and I both had the Lasagne. This was well layered with plenty of meat and felt fresh. The béchamel was delicious and had a lovely nutmeg seasoning. It could maybe do with a bit more red and white sauce, but honestly this didn’t remove from how enjoyable it was. It was really full of flavour and hearty. My dad had a veg pizza and added salami. It was fresh from their pizza oven and the crusts were fluffy. The veg was fresh and just al dente which added to the texture and flavour, instead of some pizzerias where the veg is blanched and flavourless. For dessert, we had a tiramisu - which is my favourite dessert and my go-to. I had my hesitations judging the photos on reviews, but I was wrong...! The sponges were well soaked and the mascarpone was fresh and perfectly balanced with the espresso flavour. It was light, not too sweet, and a perfect end to the meal. In summary, a really enjoyable evening and a consistently tasty 3 course meal. The prices are maybe on the higher end, but you’re getting the quality for your money here and are fairly in line with how expensive Dubrovnik is. The portions are generous, too. We heard many people praising the staff for their service on leaving and saying how enjoyable their own meals were - a sign of a successful restaurant!
One of the best Italian restaurants in Dubrovnik! Everything was wonderful, from the food to the atmosphere. The flavors were authentic and beautifully prepared—truly impressive from the very first bite. A special mention goes to the service, which was outstanding. Hrvoje M. was exceptionally friendly, polite, and professional, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a place worth visiting!
