If you only go to one seafood restaurant in Split this is the one. The service was excellent, the waiter showed us some of the catch of the day options and was very patient while I decided what I would like. I had scallop and grilled langoustines to start and king red snapper for main and my friend had the tomahawk steak, both meal were absolutely superb. The desert were delicious we had sorbet and the flambé crepe with strawberries. The menu was extensive, a fish lovers dream. The wine list was equally as extensive and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend the restaurant and would have gone back every night we were in split by my friend I’m with sadly doesn’t eat fish!
Was simply the best service, freshest food and individual approach by the owner from the start to finish. We had fresh lobster, scallops and tuna carpaccio for lunch. Was absolutely delicious! The best experience so far in Split, so highly recommend it!
An unforgettable dining experience! The fish at this restaurant is absolutely phenomenal – we have never tasted anything like it before. Every dish we tried was delicious and perfectly prepared. The owner and the staff are wonderful, friendly, and very welcoming. The appetizers were so good you want to lick the plate! And the pancakes in the wine château were simply delicious – a perfect sweet ending to the meal. Highly recommended! 🐟🥞🍷
The restaurant offers an excellent atmosphere paired with even better food. From appetizers to main courses, everything we tried was exceptionally flavorful and well-prepared. The wine selection is impressive and thoughtfully curated. For dessert, the pancakes at Chateau are a must—arguably the best we’ve had in the Split area so far.
In the basement of a house down a narrow beachside lane outside of Split, we encountered one of the best restaurants we have been to in a long time. Our server was super friendly, entertaining, and gave great suggestions for both wine and food. When we unknowingly ordered more food than we could eat, instead of trying to upsell, he suggested ordering less. The cuttlefish risotto was spot on, and the fresh grilled whole grouper for two was outstanding. The roasted fig dessert garnished with blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries was my favorite of a three-week trip. Tip: I didn’t realize the shellfish cart they brought around on request was so amazing until I saw others select their appetizers from it. When we return, I will make sure not to miss that experience a second time!
