Gradska kavana Arsenal Restaurant

We ate at this restaurant four times during our stay in Dubrovnik, and every visit was fantastic. Our waiter (Mr. Ivo) was absolutely amazing and the main reason we kept coming back. He was incredibly attentive to every detail, super friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was excellent, but the outstanding service truly made the experience unforgettable. We would highly recommend this restaurant, and if you have the chance to be served by Mr Ivo. you’re in for an exceptional dining experience!
We got a table very quickly even without a reservation. The only condition was that we had to leave by 7:00 PM because the table was already reserved later. No complaints at all—we were just happy to be seated without having to wait. The food was outstanding. The presentation was beautiful, and the portion sizes were just right. I don't eat beef, but my friends said it was incredibly tender and juicy. I ordered the chicken served with potatoes, and it was honestly the softest, most tender chicken I've ever had. Don't miss the garlic bread as a starter—it's absolutely worth trying! Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I would definitely recommend this place.
Our group of 12 ate here, and it was one of the best dining experiences we had in Croatia. The atmosphere was stunning at night with a patio overlooking the water, a live pianist, and exceptional drink service and a beautiful lounge area where we could wait for our table. Our server Marco was awesome, every order came out perfectly, and he was so kind to help me find options as I have a dairy allergy. His service was the best! Finally the food - I had the octopus salad, the sea bass with grilled vegetables which were both delicious. The sea bass was crispy on the outside, and soft and flavorful on the inside. Everything was divine, and we all greatly enjoyed our meal!
We visited this restaurant 3 times on a 4 day visit to Dubrovnik as we loved the location, excellent service and quality of food. This place bucks the trend of many other central tourist area restaurants offering substandard food and over-inflated prices. The staff here are so professional, courteous, friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is in a beautiful old building that can be accessed on one side from the main square of old town, between the clocktower and the famous statue of Marin Drzic. It can also be accessed from the marina side of old town, through 2 large arches. We had mid afternoon drinks and superb cakes on 2 occasions and also returned for an evening meal. The Iced Latte is really good, as was the Lime Cheesecake! I had amazing sesame coated seared fresh tuna on the evening..that was so tasty. Everything we had was reasonably priced, well presented and delicious. Highly recommended as a lovely oasis of calm and relaxation to step out of the hot, busy and bustling old town.
My friend and I had an amazing dinner here! We just walked in and had to wait in the bar for a very short time. We were quickly seated, the restaurant is beautiful, with an amazing view to the port and great ambient live music (trumpeter + piano). Service was great and food delicious. We had the octopus carpaccio and the two risottos and everything was perfectly cooked and with great flavour. We had a great evening!
