Amazing experience! Highly recommend if you’re in the area. One of our most enjoyable Michelin experiences. Also the flexibility of picking à la carte options was nice.
So amazing, so flavorful, so beautiful, so warm, so clean…we had a fantastic, unbeatable experience at Monte! It started with the signature drink - plus all of the food,, closing digestif, and amazing team who ensured we’d have a memorable evening. This was a diamond amidst some pretty amazing restaurants in Rovinj; and I’m so glad we took the time to savor all that Simon and the team had in store for us. Thank you!
Loved everything about this place. The setting was beautiful and romantic. Food was creatively presented with delightful flavors. Service was impeccable. The history of the place was also very interesting. Love how Simon and Elja’s (may have remembered spelling wrong) family created such an amazing and sophisticated place from such humble beginnings. Everything was perfect until the table behind decided to have a video call with speaker phone in the middle of dinner! Luckily, they turned the volume way down after being requested to use headphones. Hope to be back next year!
A truly exceptional dining experience. The ambiance is elegant and refined, yet warm, welcoming, and genuinely personal. Despite its Michelin star, this is not a place of formality or pretension—it is a restaurant where hospitality feels authentic and heartfelt. The food was outstanding. Every course reflected remarkable craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for excellence. What impressed us even more, however, was the incredible attentiveness of the team. We had originally planned to celebrate our wedding anniversary here a month earlier but had to postpone our visit. The fact that the staff remembered this and prepared a special table for us made the evening even more memorable. It is this unique combination of exceptional cuisine, sincere hospitality, and down-to-earth elegance that makes this restaurant so special. Highly recommended—we look forward to returning.
