I am speechless for this wonderful restaurant. Everything was perfect from the beginning till the end. Everybody who comes to Zagreb must visit Dubravkin put. All the meals were designed in detailed. You have many flavors from every bite. To come here was the best decision we have ever made in our Zagreb trip. The experience was unforgettable. Thank you for the hospitality and amazing staff.
I visited because it had a Michelin star, but I was rather disappointed. The food was average for a Michelin-starred restaurant, so I wasn't particularly disappointed, but I wasn't particularly surprised either. Of all the things I've eaten, the bread was exceptionally delicious, which was a pleasant surprise. However, the service was not good. The waiter was arrogant, clearly resting on the restaurant's Michelin laurels. In my opinion, while service is certainly important for earning a Michelin star, the food and the overall ambiance of the restaurant must come first. It’s wonderful when excellent service is added on top of that, but it isn't the number one priority. In other words, I believe obtaining a Michelin star depends heavily on the chef and the kitchen staff. I felt that the waiter’s behavior completely ruined the hard work of the kitchen team. Instead of being arrogant, front-of-house staff should focus on how to make the dining experience smoother and the food even more enjoyable for the guests.
Food was incredible, fresh and flavoursome. The flavours matched the visual presentation and the menu was very creative. We appreciated the seasonal ingredients. The langoustine with chard deserves a special mention as well as the fantastic octopus main. Pictured below is a delicious tomato shaped dessert. The wine selection was fantastic. The service was very good but lacked small attention to detail (for example we were given extra bread but the butter never arrived) Because a lot of guests sat outside, inside the restaurant felt a bit empty and therefore lacked atmosphere. Other minor things (but shouldn't be the case for a Michelin star restaurant) included some table cloths being too big for the table and not ironed and one waiter wearing white-soled shoes which really stood out. We also noticed the bell from the kitchen being impatiently called several times, which shouldn't be heard at all in a restaurant of this calibre. However, overall a very enjoyable evening and a real treat.
This was one of several restaurants recommended by a friend of a friend from Zagreb. We were very pleased we took heed of the tip! Service was relaxed, friendly & confident. Confidence often means the staff are secure in the knowledge that the kitchen delivers what is promised: in this case Michelin quality food. The Cuttlefish Risotto just pipped our previous fave which was a Marco Pierre White dish at The Criterion in London years ago.. sorry Marco xx My Tuna Tartare was light & refreshing with real finesse. The Filet of Adriatic Fish which we both had was perfect. The wines suggested and served to us were complex with real evidence of a balanced terroir. A Chardonnay by the Korak family was particularly wonderful! We split the Mille Feuille desert which was so tasty. Excellent coffee and a digestif of a local Rakkia and we were as happy and satisfied as we were assured we would be when the restaurant was first recommended! Oh! We sat outside, under cover and had the sights of the surrounding woods around us. Really lovely.
Everything was excellent. The staff were friendly and professional, the food was outstanding and the location is perfect. Highly recommended!
