Overall it was a nice hotel. A little far walking wise from the old town area but there is a bus stop like a 3 minute walk away that takes you right there and you can buy tickets for it at the hotel. I think tickets were around 2 euros so much cheaper than a taxi. It seems like it’s a better area to stay in than in the walls because we saw a lot of people struggling to carry their suitcases up a lot of stairs (no cars allowed in that area). The pool was nice but people start hogging pool chairs early with towels. There is a pretty nice gym which was clean and had pretty new equipment. Breakfast was included and was fine. Buffet style but could ask for a sandwich or something prepared from the staff.
Hotel is in walking distance from the old town and a good price without being right inside of the old town. Busses easily accessible to get to old town from hotel. Wanted a king bed but gave us two doubles pushed together on our honeymoon. Nice pool but a bit small.
Great offering at this price point. Old town is very amenable by foot or by bus. Pool was lovely and well maintained. No sun bed wars. Staff were super helpful with excursions and bus tickets. Room was what you'd expect at this price point – fine to rest your head but nothing to write home about. I felt that this hotel is catering to an older clientele and this is very much reflected in the vibes of the bar, restaurant, pool music, and swarms of coaches that occupy the small lobby almost constantly.
A very effective and efficiently managed hotel, one of the best choices in this area. A convenient bus ride away from downtown and Pile gate. Taxi to those areas was about 8 Euros. The day trip tours have a pick up spot here so that was very convenient too. The hotel provided us with a box breakfast for our early morning departure on these tours. Overall a very good experience and we didn’t have any issues and would come back here any day.
