I booked through Expedia, though the hosts also use a platform called Direct Booker, which seemed linked to Expedia somehow. This meant that most of my communication seemed to be through a 3rd party—not the hosts directly. This was a little unsettling at first, because I couldn’t use any of the phone numbers provided for the host; with my eSIM, messaging was my only option. However, the host was there at 2pm when I said I would arrive, and check-in was smooth. The room has all the basics needed for a short stay. It is hostel-style in that bathrooms and kitchenette are shared, though the rooms are private and have their own mini fridge, kettle, cups, and sink. I appreciated the luxury of a balcony, and it looked over onto a garden patio below that I would definitely enjoy if staying longer. The house is close to a Studenac and a Tommy Hipermarket, as well as transit. As with most of Dubrovnik, you will get a good leg workout navigating stairs to and from the guest house.
Located halfway between the bus station and old town. 15min walk to either. Local neighborhood is quiet and safe, even at night. The very friendly and helpful owners live on the top floor and 4 rental rooms are on the floor below. Our room was VERY clean. Nice couch, sink, and fridge. Matresses were firm with plenty of blankets. Shared bathroom is small but clean. There's a microwave and tea kettle in the hallway. Our room (#4, like #3) has a balcony with a very nice view overlooking the town. Theres also a patio in the yard with table and chairs guests can use. Nice quiet chill place to call home while in Dubrovnik. I'd happily stay at the Bradas' place any time. No car parking, but might find a spot on the alley road to the north.
