We’ve eaten here twice now. The first time was already excellent, although the waiter influenced our choices a bit too much. We came back for a second visit, and now we can confidently say that this is the best value-for-money restaurant we’ve ever eaten at. And we’ve tried a lot of restaurants. We especially recommend the beef carpaccio as a starter – it was absolutely outstanding. The service and recommendations are also excellent, with the staff being very knowledgeable and attentive. This is easily one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a very long time. If you’re in the area, you absolutely have to eat here. Highly recommended!
I came here alone and been offered a really nice table despite busy dinner time. Had tomato soup and Dalmatian Style Rumpsteak with rice, as recommended by Andro, and it was delicious! Highly recommend this combo.
no better place to go to if you want a solid, authentic croatian food. its not as touristy as most of the other prices and they have rather affordable pricing for the quality of food you get here. i got the monkfish with truffle sauce - it was served warm, the filets were a tad small but it was a good meal nevertheless. i wish i was able to try more food had i not come alone. but definitely saving this place for when i come back to split !!
Off the beaten track and more popular with locals than tourists it seems, which made for a really great experience. Excellent value for money and very delicious food. The prawn and salmon pate was absolutely delicious. Service was good and very friendly staff. We had stuffed calamari and the fresh swordfish and the food was the best of the trip so far. Highly recommend coming to this place!
Extraordinary, well made Croatian food, in an elegant setting with welcoming and accomodating staff! Make sure to reserve in advance, as it's almost always packed here. I'd say this is a must-visit if you're in Split and looking to try the local cuisine. This place was recommended online as a high-quality place for traditional Croatian cuisine, and I'm very happy we went out of the city center for this one. We came without a reservation, and even though the place was packed the staff was welcoming and made an effort to find us a table, which we were lucky enough to get. The food is amazing! We had the Croatian Prosciutto and Buratta, then the famous black cuttle-fish risotto for the main course. Super well made food, with high quality ingredients. Also the wine was fantastic, served ice-cold. I can't say enough good things about the staff! Super accommodating, efficient service, and also very friendly people. They all made sure we had a delightful experience. The location might feel strange as it's situated behind an old strip mall. Don't fret, keep going through the parking lot, past the training center and you'll find Duje, with it's up-scale and elegant interior! All and all, wish I had more time to go back!
